Le Moniteur de La Louisiane (English: The Louisiana Monitor) was the first newspaper in Louisiana. It was published from 1794 to 1815 initially during a period of Spanish occupation of Louisiana to serve the French-speaking population of the region. The newspaper was written in the French language, typically in a four-page format.[1][2]
