Li Shigu , or Yi Sago (Chinese: 李師古; 778?[1] – July 19, 806[2]) was a Chinese military general and politician of the Tang dynasty, who, as the military governor (Jiedushi) of Pinglu Circuit (平盧, headquartered in modern Tai'an, Shandong), ruled the circuit in a de facto independent manner from the imperial regime.
- ^ Li Shigu's age when he died was not recorded. His father Li Na died at the age of 34 (by East Asian reckoning) in Jun 792.
- ^ According to Tang Xianzong's biography (vol.14) of Old Book of Tang, Li Shigu died on the 1st day (ren'xu day; the biography indicated the day as a ren'zi day, which should be an error) of the leap 6th month of the 1st year of the Yuan'he era; the date corresponds to 19 Jul 806 in the Julian calender.
