Brassic is a British comedy-drama [[]], created by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst.[1] It premiered on Sky One in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2019. It follows the lives of Vinnie and his five friends as they live their lives in their northern town of Hawley. The working-class group commit various crimes to keep money in their pockets, but as they get older some of them start to wonder if there's more to life away from the town.[2]
The first series consisted of six episodes, which concluded on 19 September 2019. It was recommissioned for a second series,[3][4] which was released entirely on 7 May 2020, once again consisting of six episodes. The sixth series will be six episodes long and aired from late September 2024. Series seven was commissioned in early 2024, and will be seven episodes long. The series will air in 2025, and the seventh episode will be the 50th episode celebration. Sky TV has stated that this show could end in 2025 due to low commissioning in the comedy-drama genre. The creators of Brassic has stated 'we will celebrate the 50th episode of Brassic in 2025, but we have plans and have started early talks for a few spin-off seasons with the Brassic crew. We have even had early stages of a Brassic film and a stage play which could start production in 2026 / 2027'.
