The first season aired on Nippon TV and other channels from April 11 to October 3, 2021,[3][4][a] and was directed by Yūji Suzuki until his death on September 9, 2021.[2][5] The second season aired from April 2 to October 1, 2023,[6][b] with Toshinori Watanabe replacing Suzuki as director.[7]
Netflix acquired streaming rights for the first season, globally releasing the first twelve episodes outside Japan on August 26, 2021,[8] and the remaining thirteen episodes on November 24 the same year.[9] The second season was licensed internationally by Mediatoon Distribution, and streamed in various regions by Crunchyroll.[10][11]
