The list of mammals of New Hampshire includes all mammal species living in the US state of New Hampshire . Four species of mammals are currently extirpated from the state: gray wolf ,[ 1] cougar ,[ 2] wolverine ,[ 3] and caribou .[ 4] The list does not include species found only in captivity . While New Hampshire does not have a state mammal, it does have a state animal (the white-tailed deer )[ 5] and a state wildcat (the bobcat ).[ 6]
