The song reached No. 14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in November 1980, No. 13 on the Cash Box Top 100,[1] reached No. 30 in Canada and went to No. 3 on the US Adult Contemporary chart.[2] The song reflects on a broken romance as depicted in the film.
