Love Aaj Kal[a] (transl. Love Nowadays) is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles, with Randeep Hooda and Arushi Sharma in pivotal supporting roles. Principal photography began in the first half of March 2019 and ended in July 2019.[4][5] It was released in India on Valentine's Day 2020.[6]
It is the spiritual successor to the 2009 film of the same name also directed by Ali, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.[7]
