The Magwayen Creative Scholars' Guild (or, simply Magwayen) is a theater organization at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM; University of the City of Manila). It was the first organization at PLM to stage a full-length original musical, Bidasari (1999), the first group to organize a literary contest,Gawad Magwayen (1998), and the first performing arts ensemble to hold a major concert, Incunabula (2000).[1]
It was founded in 1998 by Marlon Miguel, a screenwriter.[2][3] The organization has produced more than 10 full-length plays and other short plays and productions.[citation needed]
