Manthai East Divisional Council (Tamil: மாந்தை கிழக்கு பிரதேச சபை Māntai Kiḻakku Piratēca Capai; MEDC) is the local authority for Manthai East DS Division in northern Sri Lanka. MEDC is responsible for providing a variety of local public services including roads, sanitation, drains, housing, libraries, public parks and recreational facilities. It has 9 members elected using the open list proportional representation system.
