Mark Gordon Burgess (born 17 July 1944) is a former cricketer who played Test cricket for New Zealand from 1968 to 1980, captaining the team from 1978 to 1980. A right-handed batsman, who bowled right-arm off-breaks, Burgess played in New Zealand's first One Day International (ODI) in 1973.

His father Gordon Burgess played for Auckland between 1940–41 and 1954–55[1] and managed the New Zealand team that toured England, India and Pakistan in 1969.
