Marshfield (Welsh: Maerun) is a village and community of Newport, Wales. It sits approximately 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Newport, and 7 miles (11 km) northeast of Cardiff. The area is governed by Newport City Council. The community includes Castleton. Its population in 2011 was 3,054.[2]
