Mary Anne Trump (née MacLeod; Scottish Gaelic: Màiri Anna Nic Leòid [ˈmaːɾʲɪ ˈan̪ˠa ɲiçkʲ ˈʎɔːtʲ]; May 10, 1912 – August 7, 2000) was a Scottish-American socialite and philanthropist. She was the wife of the real-estate developer Fred Trump and the mother of Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States.
Born in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, Mary Trump immigrated to the U.S. in 1930 and became a naturalized citizen in March 1942.[1] She raised five children with her husband and lived in New York City.[2]
