Max Edwin Truex (/ruɛks/; November 4, 1935, in Warsaw, Indiana – March 24, 1991, in Milton, Massachusetts) was an American long-distance runner. He was a two-time Olympian, running the 10,000 metres at the 1956 and 1960 Olympics.[1] He also was a two-time United States champion in the 6 mile run, the imperial equivalent[2] and added a 3-mile championship in 1962 (though he actually finished second to New Zealander Murray Halberg).[3][4]
