The mayor of Thames-Coromandel is the head of local government in the Thames-Coromandel District of New Zealand's North Island. The mayor presides over the meetings of the Thames-Coromandel District Council. The mayor is directly elected using the first-past-the-post voting system. The current mayor is Len Salt, first elected in October 2022 during that year's local elections.
The office has existed since 1975, when the Thames Borough and the Coromandel County were amalgamated. Philippa Barriball was the first female mayor when she was elected in 2004.[2]
