McPherson (/məkˈfɜːrsən/ mək-FUR-sən) is a city in and the county seat of McPherson County, Kansas, United States.[1] As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 14,082.[3][4] The city is named after Union General James Birdseye McPherson, a Civil War general.[5] It is home to McPherson College and Central Christian College.
