Meredith Gwynne Evans, FRS (2 December 1904 – 25 December 1952) was a British physical chemist who made important contributions to the theory of chemical reaction rates and reaction mechanisms. Together with Henry Eyring and Michael Polanyi, Meredith Gwynne Evans is one of the founders of the transition state theory.
