General Leif Michael Claesson (born 1 March 1965) is a Swedish Army officer. He currently serves as the Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces since 1 October 2024.[1] Prior to that, Claesson served as the Chief of Policy and Plans Department in the Defence Staff (2018–2020), as Chief of Joint Operations (2020–2022), and as Chief of the Defence Staff (2023–2024).
