Michael Arthur Worden Evans (June 21, 1944 – December 1, 2005) was an American newspaper, magazine, and presidential photographer. He was Ronald Reagan's personal photographer during his first term as president from 1981 through 1985.[1] Evans is best remembered for his 1976 iconic photo of Ronald Reagan wearing a cowboy hat taken while Evans was working for Equus Magazine, that made the covers of many magazines in the week after Reagan's death in 2004. He was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize while shooting for The New York Times.[2]
