Michael Powell is an American politician.[1][2] He served as a Republican member for the 6th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives.[3]

Powell attended Louisiana State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in geology.[4] In 1992, he attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree.[4] In 2004, Powell won the election for the 6th district of the Louisiana House of Representatives.[3] He succeeded B. L. Shaw.[3] In 2007, Powell resigned from the state legislature.[3][5]

Powell served as a lawyer in Shreveport, Louisiana.[4]
