Micky Hammon is a former American politician serving in the Republican Party who became the Majority Leader of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 4th district, Limestone and Morgan counties.[1][2] Hammon resigned as House Majority Leader in February 2017 and announced in July 2017 that he would be retiring and would not see reelection in 2018.[3][4]

In September 2017, Hammon pleaded guilty to devising a scheme to commit mail fraud after he used campaign funds for personal use (a felony). The scheme took place in 2013 and 2014. He was convicted in 2018 and sentenced to three months in prison.[5][6]
