Mikhaylovsky District (Russian: Миха́йловский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Volgograd Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is a part of Mikhaylovka Urban Okrug.[5] It is located in the northwestern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,660 square kilometers (1,410 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the town of Mikhaylovka[2] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 25,936 (2010 Census);[4] 25,978 (2002 Census);[6] 25,112 (1989 Soviet census).[7]
