Mirza is a major town in Kamrup Rural district of Assam, India. It is situated on south bank of river Brahmaputra[1] and 18 kilometres from Guwahati. The town derives its name from the Mughal general Mirza Raja Ram Singh who conquered the region in the 17th century.
