Moi University is a public university located in Kesses, Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county, in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya.[1] It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of the Parliament of Kenya, after recommendations from the McKay Commission.
The current chancellor of the university is Professor Miriam Were while the vice-chancellor is Isaac Sanga Kosgey. As of 20th October 2024, Moi University remains closed due to financial difficulties.
