Monforte (Portuguese pronunciation: [mõˈfɔɾtɨ] ) is a municipality in the District of Portalegre in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 3,329,[1] in an area of 420.25 km2.[2]
The present Mayor is Gonçalo Nuno Lagem, elected by the Coligação Democrática Unitária.
