Moretele Municipality (Tswana: Mmasepala wa Moretele; Tsonga: Masipala wa Moretele; Northern Sotho: Mmasepala wa Moretele) is a local municipality within the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, in the North West province of South Africa. As of 2011, its population was approximately 180,000, a majority of whom speak Setswana as a first language.
