Motech Industries Inc. or Motech Solar, is a solar cell manufacturer based in Taiwan, ranked as the 6th largest solar cell manufacturer in the world in 2007.[1]
As part of an expansion effort into the US, Motech purchased the AstroPower plant in Newark but subsequently closed it down in 2014 due to operational costs.[2] Since then, the company has expanded operations to include production of whole panels.
