Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT or NIT Allahabad), formerly Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREC), is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology, located in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh in India. The college has the distinction of being the first in the country to start[4] an undergraduate programme in Computer Science & Engineering, in 1976–77.[5]
