Muromtsevsky District (Russian: Му́ромцевский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Omsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 6,700 square kilometers (2,600 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Muromtsevo.[1] Population: 23,795 (2010 Census);[3] 28,380 (2002 Census);[7] 31,935 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Muromtsevo accounts for 45.3% of the district's total population.[3]
