Mahoraise music is the music of the island of Mayotte, a French island located in the Mozambique Channel of the Indian Ocean. The principal musical genres which encompass Mahoraise are Mgodro,^[1] Blues, Traditional music, Gaboussi, and Chakacha^[2]
