Mykines village (Faroese: /ˈmɪtʃiˌnɛs/;[1] Danish: Myggenæs) is the only settlement on Mykines Island, the westernmost of the Faroe Islands. It is a little coastal village with bright houses with turf roofs, with an old turf-roofed stone Church dating from 1878, and a small stream flowing through the village.[2]
