Nagaybaksky District (Russian: Нагайба́кский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,022 square kilometers (1,167 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Fershampenuaz.[1] Population: 20,927 (2010 Census);[2] 24,310 (2002 Census);[5] 25,959 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Fershampenuaz accounts for 20.9% of the district's total population.[2]
