Nathan Paul Cullen[3] (born July 13, 1972) is a Canadian politician. A member of the New Democratic Party (NDP), he served as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Stikine, British Columbia, from 2020 to 2024. He has served in the Executive Council of British Columbia from 2020 to 2024, as Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship and Minister Responsible for Fisheries.
Prior to entering provincial politics, Cullen was the federal Member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Skeena—Bulkley Valley from 2004 until 2019. He stood in the 2012 New Democratic Party leadership election, where he came in third. During the 41st Parliament, Cullen was the House Leader for the Official Opposition and then Finance critic in Thomas Mulcair's Shadow Cabinet.
In the 2024 British Columbia general election, he was unseated by Sharon Hartwell from the Conservative Party of British Columbia.[4]
