Nemuro (根室市, Nemuro-shi, Ainu: ニ・ム・オロ Ni-mu-oro) is a city and port located in Nemuro Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. It is the capital city of Nemuro Subprefecture. Much of the city lies on the Nemuro Peninsula.
