Nepenthes chang is a tropical pitcher plant endemic to the Banthad Mountains of eastern Thailand,[2] where it grows at elevations of 300–600 m above sea level.[1] It is thought to be most closely related to N. kampotiana.[1][3]
The specific epithet chang refers to the Thai island of Ko Chang, where the type specimen was collected.[1][4]
