The New Zealand Productivity Commission (Te Kōmihana Whai Hua o Aotearoa) was an independent Crown entity whose purpose was "to provide advice to the Government on improving productivity in a way that is directed to supporting the overall wellbeing of New Zealanders, having regard to a wide range of communities of interest and population groups in New Zealand society."[2] On 29 February 2024, the Commission ceased operations, replaced by the new Ministry for Regulation.[3]
