Norman Gladding Michael (May 1, 1921[1] – September 25, 2011) was an American college football player who was a fullback for the Syracuse Orange. Following his college career, Michael was selected in the 20th round of the 1944 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles could not locate him, as he was serving in World War II, and he did not learn of his selection until 55 years later.[2][3][4]
