Oak Ridge High School is a secondary school in unincorporated Montgomery County, Texas, near Conroe, and within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Shenandoah.[2][3] Built in 1981, Oak Ridge High School is classified as a 6A school in the Conroe Independent School District. In 2021–2022, the school received a B grade from the Texas Education Agency.
The school serves:[4] the city of Oak Ridge North,[3][5] portions of the City of Shenandoah,[3] the town of Woodloch, and the unincorporated communities of Imperial Oaks[4] and Tamina.[6] It also includes the former city of Chateau Woods.[7] The school has two campuses: The main campus for students in grades 10–12 and a 9th grade campus on an adjacent property.[8]
Oak Ridge High School housed the Conroe ISD Academy of Science and Technology, a science and technology based magnet program, from 1987 until the end of the 2007 school year when the program was transferred to The Woodlands College Park High School. The Academy for Careers in Engineering and Science, which opened in 2018–2019, operates inside the Oak Ridge 9th grade campus. Oak Ridge also supports an Air Force JROTC program.
