The Oak Street Connector, officially known as the Richard C. Lee Highway (named after former New Haven mayor Richard C. Lee), is a 0.6-mile-long (0.97 km) freeway carrying Connecticut Route 724 in downtown New Haven, Connecticut, United States. The freeway begins at the junction of Interstate 95 and Interstate 91 and ends at Orange Street. The road formerly carried Route 34 until the early 2020s.[2]
Much of the connector has been closed to traffic as part of the first phase of the New Haven Downtown Crossing Project. As of 2022, most of the road is a surface street.[3]
