Odoardo Beccari (16 November 1843 – 25 October 1920) was an Italian botanist famous for his discoveries in Indonesia, New Guinea, and Australia. He has been called the greatest botanist to ever study Malesia.[1] The standard author abbreviation Becc. is used to indicate this person as the author when citing a botanical name.[2]
