Olympic High School is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is a high school in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) system. Olympic opened in the fall of 1966, in what was then the rural outskirts of Charlotte. It joined the Coalition of Essential Schools in 2005[2] and was split into five smaller, theme-based schools. Olympic was consolidated back into one high school the 2018–2019 school year.[3] Today Olympic is a single comprehensive high school.[4]
