Paddy "Rusty" Ruschitzko (29 April 1917 – 4 March 2004) was an American-born Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Clonad and was a member of the Laois senior inter-county team from the 1930s until the 1950s. Ruschitzko captained Laois in their last All-Ireland final appearance in 1949. A contemporary of Rusty's, Rathdowney's Bill Maher hailed his team mate as 'one of the greats, a true Laois legend.' [1]
