Paraventricular thalamus

Not to be confused with paraventricular nucleus of hypothalamus.

The paraventricular thalamus(PVT) is a nucleus in the midline nuclear group of the thalamus. The PVT is a critical node of the hypothalamic-thalamic-striatal circuit.[1]
