Parthenope (Ancient Greek: Παρθενόπη) was one of the sirens in Greek mythology.[1][2][3][4] Her name means 'maiden-voiced' from parthenos (παρθένος, meaning fig. 'maiden/virgin') and ops (ὄψ, meaning 'voice').[5]: 20
