The Passyunk Avenue Bridge is an American, double leaf bascule bridge that spans the Schuylkill River between South Philadelphia and the Southwest Philadelphia sections of the city of Philadelphia in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.[1]
The much more recent Passyunk Avenue Bridge, and the University Avenue Bridge remain the only two extant double leaf bascule type drawbridges on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.
