Paul R. Screvane (August 11, 1914 – November 4, 2001) was an American politician. He served as the commissioner of the New York City Department of Sanitation from 1957 to 1961 and president of the New York City Council from 1962 to 1966. He also ran as a Democratic candidate in the 1965 New York City mayoral election.[1]
