The People's Council[2] (Russian: Народный Совет, romanizedNarodny Sovet), formerly the Supreme Council (Russian: Высший Совет, romanizedVysshy Sovet), is the regional parliament of the Donetsk People's Republic, a disputed entity annexed as a federal subject by Russia from Ukraine in 2022 during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.[3][4]
