Phillip Louis Maton III (/ˈmeɪtɑːn/ MAY-tahn;[1] born March 25, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Maton played college baseball at Louisiana Tech University. Maton was drafted by the Padres in the 20th round of the 2015 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with them in 2017.
