The Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2003 (c 6) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

It implements[3] recommendations made in the Patten report.[4]

Sections 14 to 19 were repealed by Part 2 of Schedule 8 to the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011.

Paragraphs 3 to 5 of Schedule 4 to the Policing (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 2007 would have inserted new sections 30(6)(d) and 30(11), and a new Part 3A in Schedule 2. However, the said paragraphs 3 to 5 were repealed by Part 13 of Schedule 8 to the Policing and Crime Act 2009, without ever having been brought into force.[5]
