Pomeroy (/ˈpʌmrɔɪ/ PUM-roy[4]) is a village in and the county seat of Meigs County, Ohio, United States,[5] along the Ohio River about 21 miles (34 km) south of Athens. The population was 1,573 at the 2020 census.
