2024 Pakistani general election, Arrest of Imran Khan
- Pakistani police arrest thousands of supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan ahead of a planned protest to demand for the release of Khan and other members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, along with the resignation of the current government. Death of Zvi Kogan
- Missing Israeli-Moldovan rabbi Zvi Kogan is found murdered in the United Arab Emirates, with three Uzbek nationals later arrested for the murder. (The New York Times) (The Washington Times)
LGBTQ rights in Russia
- Russian President Vladimir Putin signs a bill into law banning the adoption of Russian children by citizens of countries where gender transition is legal. The bill also outlaws material that promotes childlessness. (AP)

2024 Romanian presidential election

2024 Uruguayan general election
- Uruguayans vote in the second round of the general election to elect a president between Yamandú Orsi and Álvaro Delgado. (Reuters)
- The ruling National Party concedes defeat as Broad Front candidate Yamandú Orsi wins the election with 52% of the vote. Over 5% of the votes were invalid, a record high for Uruguay. (DW) (TIME)
2024 Swiss referendums

Censorship in Israel
- The government of Israel approves a resolution to cut ties with and impose sanctions on the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, after the newspaper ran "many articles that hurt the legitimacy of the State of Israel and its right to self-defence". (Al Jazeera)
